Our Motivation
Preterm birth is birth that happens too soon, before 37 weeks of pregnancy. This is currently the leading cause of infant mortality and morbidity.
Babies born preterm may have more health problems at birth and later in life than babies born later.
Preterm babies can have long-term intellectual and developmental disabilities and problems with their lungs, brain, eyes and other organs. By identifying at-risk pregnancies early we have the potential to greatly reduce and prevent pre term birth access the world.
